Explore hand embroidery and applique techniques in this course. You will learn skills and techniques to create beautiful hand embroidered designs and take away your own finished embroidery mounted in a wooden hoop ready to hang on the wall.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone interested in learning embroidery techniques. You do not need to have any sewing experience. I will offer individualised teaching to support different levels so if you have some experience, there will be more challenging options for you to experiment with.
Please note this course is for over 16s only, however I will be offering adult and child classes shortly, please email if you are interested in this and sign up to our mailing list.
What will I learn?
Applique techniques and how to transfer applique so that it doesn’t fray
How to transfer embroidery designs to fabric using different methods
Hand embroidery stitches
How to display your work using different methods
What will I make?
A range of samples in the morning, exploring different techniques
A finished embroidery in the afternoon which will be mounted in a wooden hoop
What is included?
Use of our fully equipped sewing studio and embroidery equipment
Each table is set up with a sewing kit which you can use during the course
A choice of fabrics and embroidery threads - you can bring your own fabric if you would like
Your own 30cm embroidery wooden hoop to keep
Tea, coffee and biscuits!
What do I need to bring
Nothing! All materials are included in the cost of this course. However you are welcome to bring your own fabric to use.
You could bring some drawings or pictures as inspiration for your design. I will also have templates, letters to trace from and different design ideas for you to use.
Booking - Terms and Conditions
Price is inclusive of tax. All classes to be paid for in advance and processed through the website securely using Stripe - we do not access your bank details. When booking a class, you consent to receiving emails from Bonnay Studio - you can opt out at any time.
You can cancel or amend your booking up to 48 hours after placing the booking. After this, cancellations are not permitted - you may be able to transfer to an alternative date with plenty of notice but please be mindful that we are a small business with small class sizes so may not be able to accommodate this.
If we have to cancel a class, we will give you as much notice as possible and will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
